Very disappointed with this place. Before coming here I pretty much knew doctors are useless these days and I have heard many ppl say their conditions never get resolved even with going to dermatologist. But I had some hope after I read all these good reviews thinking it would be worth coming here but unfortunately it was waste of my time and money just like I thought it would be. Especially I'm pretty much poor and I barely was able to pay for the appointment (as I cant afford insurance either ). I'm pretty much back to square 0 now.
I'm suffering from seborrheic dermatitis past 7 months now and it's not getting better. ( Tried everything over the counter) .
Plus I suffer from rosacea on top of it.
Came here to see dermatologist looking for some relief, first appointment he walked into the room. Spent about 3 minutes with me in the room. Seemed very rushed. Doctor had 0 concerns about my problems, didnt even care to examine my scalp and skin. Pretty much just threw few prescriptions at me ( based of what I was saying ) to try which is fine but he told me if that didn't work. I would come back for a recheck and there will be other options. So Prescriptions helped some but as weather has gotten colder my condition started to flare up again and only steroid liquid was helping my severe itching. 2 months later I came back, he tells me I can't use steroid liquid long term which I understand but that's only thing was keeping me comfortable. So he said only one more option left to try which was very expensive he told me. That cost of prescription is 900 dollars. I don't have that kind of money and I can't get any help to pay for it. And sadly I can't afford insurance either.
So I said okay but is there anything else I can do for my scalp. He says NO, NOT REALLY. SERIOUSLY???? YOU ARE A DOCTOR AND THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY??? But very first appointment he said there are plenty of options to try. So basically I got lied to.
SO MY 2ND. Appointment recheck also lasted 4 minutes or less. Again doctor didn't seem like he was concerned about my problem or cared. He just wanted to get out of the room as quick as possible.
Thanks for stealing my money that I could have used on food.
Because now I'm back to where I started.
Extremely itchy scalp and flakes are all over my head. None of the shampoos over the counter are helping.
I'm itching like a dog with flea infestation.
So sad this is the world we live in now days. Medical care is so corrupt. Everyone just wants money but doesn't want to do actual work. Doctors have no compassion, careless and just rush through the appointments.
What happened to spending time with patients and learning about their concerns and try to figure out the problem ?
I'm very disappointed. Won't be coming back again.

Extremely experienced and genuinely cares about my concern of itchy scalp and shedding hair.Expert with insurance complicated procedures and facilitates prescription coverage. Provided treatment samples to avoid treatment delay.Clearly explained the prose and cons of future treatment plans.If you are still searching for the right dermatologist , you don't need to search further. Dr.Kandice Phifer is your best choice.
